Kanuikapono played its first three soccer games against Kula and Olelo Christian Academy today at the Kapaa Beachpark.  Unfortunately we lost all three games (10-0, 5-2 and 3-0).  Congratulations to Kalalea who scored our goals.  Better luck next time for our coed soccer team.

Homework Assignments are now on-line!  They will be posted every Tuesday for the current week.  Please use this information to help your students to stay on top of turning their homework in on time.  If you have a question about the student's homework please email their respective teacher.  Mahalo for your support!

Basketball
The Kanuikapono basketball schedule has been updated in the February 2007 Calendar.  Please review it so that you know when and where to be for your games.  Good Luck!

Basketball Team
Kanuikapono played a great game yesterday at the Kapaa outdoor basketball court against Kula High School.  They played against a much taller team composed of mostly older students than us and we lost by just one point.  The final score was 25-24.  Maka Pa was the high scorer of the game for our school.

Site Location
Kanuikapono School site cleared by Delta Construction, Uncle Sam Pa and friends in preparation for Phase I building of the school.  Many mahalos to all.
12/20/06 DHHL Logo
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) Commission is considering extending the current lease on the Kanuikapono Aina Ho'opulapula Campus from 5 years to 20 years.  The final decision will be made in January 2007.  Mahalos to DHHL Chairman Micah A. Kane, Kauai DHHL Commisioner Stuart Hanchett and DHHL Land Agent Kaipo Duncan and the rest of the DHHL Comission for their efforts to support our school.
11/21/06 Thanksgiving
Kanuikapono students volunteer their services at the annual Salvation Army Thanksgiving Lunch at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Lihue.  The event is attended by over 150 kupunas.  The students helped serve the meals as well as performed in the event.

Kanuikapono students, parents and staff raise over $3,000 in lau lau and car wash fundaraisers so that the students can attend the Ku I Ka Lono Charter School Conference in Oahu.
